Exceptional Architectural Tour
We recently joined an architectural tour of Palm Springs led by Tommy the Tour Guide, and it was outstanding. Tommy is knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about midcentury design, and his expertise elevated every stop on the tour.
Tommy enhanced the experience by bringing a full-size iPad with interior photos of the homes, plus archival images of original architects and homeowners—adding valuable context beyond what you see from the street.
The small group size (just four of us) was a huge advantage. It allowed us to explore quiet residential streets and get much closer to the homes than the large bus tours can. Tommy also arranged for a professional driver to pick us up and drop us off at home, which made the day seamless. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable, and the driver was excellent.
From landmark estates to hidden gems, Tommy connected design, history, and place in an engaging way, and his overview of influential architects and the Alexander Construction Company added depth and perspective.
If you’re interested in architecture, design, or Palm Springs’ history, we highly recommend Tommy’s tour services. We would gladly book again.
